세종시의회 교육안전위원회는 "지난 28일부터 9월 2일까지 3일에 걸쳐 세종시청 시민안전실과 소방본부, 세종시교육청으로부터 2025년 행정사무감사 조치 결과에 대한 보고를 받았다"고 밝혔다.
3일 교안위에 따르면 지난 제98회 정례회 당시 지적됐던 사항의 조치 여부를 면밀히 검토했다. 조치 완료되지 못한 사업에 대해서는 향후 추진 방안을 파악하며, 세종교육력 제고와 시민안전 기반 강화를 위한 집중 점검을 진행했다.
윤지성 위원장은 △고복저수지 등 주요 거점 주민 안전대책 마련 △작은 학교의 특색있는 교육과정이 잘 드러나는 홍보 △스마트 학교만의 특화된 교육과정 수립 운영 △원어민 교사 수요 확충 및 효율적인 원어 수업 운영 △우수 수업 사례 확산 방안 △각종 체험센터와 학교 교육의 연계 △교원 역량 신장을 위한 연수 내용 점검 체계 강화 등 다양한 주제를 점검하고 해결책을 제안했다.
아울러 작은 학교 활성화와 세종시 학교교육과정의 정상화 및 특색있는 운영, 끊임없는 학생 활동 연계를 통한 다양한 학생 성장 방안도 모색했다.
이현정 부위원장은 △교육청 홍보 채널 활성화 △학생선수의 기초학력 확보 및 강화 방안 △학생 정신건강 확보와 치료형 교육기관 구축 계획 △현장 교사들의 고충 해소, 민원 등과 관련한 교권 보호 지원 △챗봇 24시간 민원 상담 서비스 기능 개선 등에 대하여 집중 점검했다.
특히 “교육보다 더 중요한 것은 학생들의 생명이다.
우리 세종의 아이들이 건강한 정신을 지킬 수 있도록, 또한 아픔이 있다면 적극적으로 개입해서 치료와 학업을 병행할 수 있도록 지원해야 한다”며 학생 정신건강과 이에 대한 지원의 중요성을 힘주어 강조했다.
김동빈 위원은 △침수 피해 재발 방지 현장 소통 강화 △ 노후화된 산업단지 화재예방 시설물 점검 계획 강화와 대응 방안 마련 △각종 위원회와 협의체의 전문성 강화 △수요자 친화 다문화 가정 지원 △직업계고 학생들의 취업 지원금 보완 방안 마련 △도박 등 청소년 중독 우려 사안에 대한 예방 강화 △유아생태체험 놀이터 활용확대 및 위생 관리를 촉구했다.
