[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 경남농협이 주최·주관하고 경상남도와 한우자조금 관리위원회, 전국한우협회 등이 후원, 4일 함양산청축협 가축경매시장에서 열린 2025년 경남한우경진대회에서 함양산청축협 김정수 농가가 챔피언을 수상했다.
이날 행사에는 안병우 축산경제대표, 이재식 농협중앙회 이사, 이정곤 경상남도 농정국장, 진병영 함양군수, 민경천 전국한우협회장, 한기웅 전국한우협회 부산경남도지회장, 조정현 부울경축협조합장협의회장을 비롯한 농·축협 조합장 및 한우농가 등 700여 명이 참석했다.
이번 대회는 도내 한우산업의 발전과 경쟁력 강화를 도모하고, 한우농가 간 선의의 경쟁과 기술 교류를 촉진하기 위해 마련됐으며, 도내 각 시·군 대표한우의 체형외모심사와 우수 혈통 한우 선발, 한우농가 및 축산발전 유공자 시상 등 다채롭게 진행됐다.

올해 한우 경진대회에서는 번식암소3부에 출전한 함양산청축협 김정수 농가가 영예의 경남 챔피언에 뽑혔으며, 그 외 6개 부문에서 총 17두가 수상의 영광을 차지했다.
경남농협 류길년 본부장은 “경남 한우는 우수한 사양관리와 철저한 품질 관리로 전국 최고의 경쟁력을 자랑하고 있다”며 “경남농협은 한우농가의 소득안정과 경쟁력을 강화하고 국민의 먹거리를 생산하는 농부의 마음을 중요시하는 것이 하늘의 뜻이라는 소명감을 가지고 농심천심(農心天心)운동을 전개하여 지속가능한 농업·농촌 구현에 앞장서겠다”고 말했다.
