브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이재명 대통령이 미국과의 관세 협상과 관련, 미국이 제시한 3500억 달러 대미투자안을 그대로 동의했다면 탄핵당했을 것이라고 밝혔다.
이 대통령은 18일 공개된 미국 타임지와의 인터뷰에서 “그래서 미국 협상팀에 합리적 대안을 요청했다”며 이같이 말했다. 이번 인터뷰는 지난 3일 서울에서 진행됐으며, 취임 100일을 맞아 타임 아시아판 커버스토리로 실렸다.
이 대통령은 취임 100일 기념 기자회견에서도 “이익이 되지 않은 상황에서 사인을 왜 하겠느냐”며 “최대한 합리적인 협상이 필요하다”고 강조한 바 있다.

한편 관세 협상과 관련, 미국이 한국에 요구한 3500억 달러 규모 대미 투자 펀드는 한국에 불리한 조건으로 제시된 것으로 알려져 있다.
미국 측은 우선 투자 원금 회수 이전에는 한국이 수익의 90%를 가져가되, 원금이 모두 회수된 이후에는 수익의 90%를 미국이 가져가고 한국은 10%만 배분받는 구조를 제안한 것으로 전해졌다. 또 다른 안으로는 원금 회수 전에는 양국이 수익을 50대 50으로 나누되, 회수 이후에는 미국 쪽이 절대적으로 우위를 차지하는 방식도 논의된 것으로 알려졌다.
