브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 디랩스 게임즈는 YGG Play와 신작 야구 게임 기가챗뱃(GIGACHADBAT)을 글로벌 출시했다고 19일 밝혔다.
게임은 앱스트랙트(Abstract) 체인에서 서비스된다. 앱스트랙트(Abstract) 체인은 이더리움 기반의 레이어2 블록체인으로, 게임과 소셜 앱에 최적화된 확장성과 낮은 수수료를 제공한다.
‘기가챗뱃’은 간단한 조작으로 즐길 수 있는 캐주얼 게임으로, 획득한 점수를 YGG 토큰과 Abstract 경험 포인트(XP)로 교환할 수 있는 것이 특징이다.
YGG Play는 지난 6월 선보인 ‘LOL Land’를 통해 퍼블리싱 역량을 입증한 바 있다. 이 게임은 두 달 만에 매출 100만 달러를 넘겼다. 사측은 이번 협력을 통해 글로벌 캐주얼 이용자층을 겨냥한다는 계획이다.
권준모·김재석 디랩스 게임즈 공동대표는 “이번 협력은 단순한 퍼블리싱을 넘어 누구나 쉽게 즐길 수 있는 게임 경험을 제공하는 데 의미가 있다”고 말했다.
한편, 디랩스 게임즈는 해시드(Hashed), 스파탄 그룹(Spartan Group), 톤벤처스(TON Ventures) 등 글로벌 투자사로부터 투자를 유치했으며, ‘럼블 레이싱 스타’, ‘복싱스타 X’, ‘라그나로크 리브레’를 서비스하고 있다. YGG는 지난해 전략적 투자 라운드와 시리즈 A에 참여했다.
‘기가챗뱃’은 현재 소셜미디어 플랫폼 X에서 약 2만6천 명의 팔로워를 보유하고 있으며, 오는 22일 서울에서 열리는 코리아 블록체인 위크(KBW) 2025에서 출시 기념 이벤트를 연다.
