사단법인 한국신문방송인협회(회장 윤영무)가 22일 한국언론진흥재단 20층에서 '대한민국 뉴리더대상' 시상식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이번 시상식은 '미래를 바꾸는 리더십'이라는 주제로, 국민 삶의 질 향상과 공동체 가치 실현에 기여한 인물을 발굴하고 사회 각계의 모범적 사례를 조명하기 위해 기획됐다.
정치, 행정, 교육, 언론, 의료, 문화, 공공, 청년 등 다양한 분야에서 공익과 혁신을 실천해온 인물 및 단체에게 상을 수여했다.

국회의정부문 대상에는 더불어민주당 박홍근 의원과 장종태 의원, 국민의힘 조경태 의원과 김선교 의원이 선정됐다.
지방자치행정부문 대상에는 김하수 청도군수, 박상수 삼척시장, 이남철 고령군수가 수상했다.
지방자치의정부문에서는 안정민 원주시의원, 이복상 김천시의원, 황치모 수성구의원, 김정숙 경산시의원, 김보경 달성군의원, 윤유현 서대문구 예결위원장, 장경술 안양시의원, 권정복 삼척시의회 의장, 오상도 경주시의원 등 9명이 대상을 받았다.
윤영무 회장은 "정치·언론·사회 각 분야에서 국민의 신뢰를 회복하고 미래세대에게 본보기가 될 수 있는 뉴리더를 발굴하는 것이 언론의 역할"이라며 "이번 시상식을 통해 공동체를 위한 헌신과 책임의 리더십이 더욱 확산되기를 기대한다"고 말했다.
