사단법인 한국신문방송인협회(회장 윤영무)가 22일 오후 2시 한국언론진흥재단 20층에서 '대한민국 뉴리더대상 시상식'을 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이번 시상식은 '미래를 바꾸는 리더십'이라는 주제로 국민 삶의 질 향상과 공동체 가치 실현에 기여한 인물을 발굴하고 사회 각계의 모범적 사례를 조명하기 위해 마련됐다.
언론이 발굴하고 국민이 공감하는 진정한 리더십을 표창하는 것이 목적이다.
시상식에서는 정치, 행정, 교육, 언론, 의료, 문화, 공공, 청년 등 다양한 분야에서 공익과 혁신을 실천해온 인물 및 단체가 수상의 영예를 안았다.

주요 수상자 현황
국회의정부문에서는 박홍근 더불어민주당 의원, 조경태·김선교 국민의힘 의원, 장종태 더불어민주당 의원이 대상을 수상했다.
지방자치행정부문에서는 김하수 청도군수, 박상수 삼척시장, 이남철 고령군수가, 지방자치의정부문에서는 안정민 원주시의원, 이복상 김천시의원, 황치모 수성구의원, 김정숙 경산시의원, 김보경 달성군의원, 윤유현 서대문구의회 예결위원장, 장경술 안양시의원, 권정복 삼척시의회 의장, 오상도 경주시의회 원자력특별위원장이 각각 수상했다.
교육·문화 분야에서는 김상동 경북인재평생교육재단 대표이사(교육부문), 김정희 한국전통문화예술진흥회 이사장(전통문화예술부문), 권문선 서울필름스튜디오 영화감독(신인영화감독부문)이 대상을 받았다.
사회공헌 분야에는 이범식 한국장애인IT복지협회 회장(사회봉사부문), 황병부 ㈜피닉스 대표(지역봉사부문), 김남훈 국민의힘 경기도 대변인과 신선일 더불어민주당 총무국장(사회공헌부문)이 수상자로 선정됐다.
경제·산업 분야에서는 최창은 ㈜KSP스틸 대표이사(신기술부문), 장혜순 하나은행 지점장(금융부문), 김용주 인이스홀딩스 대표(학교급식부문), 이천호 이지건설㈜ 대표이사(건설안전부문) 등이 영예를 안았다.
이 밖에도 언론, 연예, 국방, 고객서비스, 노인복지 등 다양한 분야에서 총 37명의 개인과 단체가 수상했다.

"진정한 리더십 확산 기대"
윤영무 한국신문방송인협회 회장은 "정치·언론·사회 각 분야에서 국민의 신뢰를 회복하고 미래세대에게 본보기가 될 수 있는 뉴리더를 발굴하는 것이 언론의 역할"이라며 "이번 시상식을 통해 공동체를 위한 헌신과 책임의 리더십이 더욱 확산되기를 기대한다"고 밝혔다.
