(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 법무부 인천보호관찰소 서부지소가 지난 8월에 시행된 제2회 검정고시 합격자 14명에 대해 지난 9월 23일에 장학금과 원호 물품을 전달 했다고 밝혔다.
인천보호관찰소 서부지소에 따르면, 이번 장학금은 인천 검단농협에서 160만 원을 또, 추석을 맞아 경제적으로 어려운 보호관찰 대상자를 격려하기 위해 새마을지도자 계양구 작전2동 협의회에서 참치 세트, 라면 등 400만 원을 후원해 준 결과로 마련 됐다.
이날 격려사를 통해 법무부 보호관찰위원 인천보호관찰소 서부지소 양동환 협의회장은 “어려운 환경 속에서도 포기하지 않고 땀과 노력으로 검정고시에 합격하신 여러분의 미래에 조그만 한 격려와 힘이라도 보태고 싶어 장학금을 지원하게 되었으며 앞으로도 꿈을 향해 끊임없이 정진하여 사회에 꼭 필요한 사람이 되기를 바란다”고 후원의 심정을 밝혔다.
수여식 자리에 참석한 김모군은 “검정고시에 합격했다는 사실만으로도 기뻤는데 이렇게 장학금까지 받게 되어 정말 감사드리며, 앞으로 더욱 열심히 노력하여 저처럼 힘든 상황에 놓인 사람들에게 희망을 줄 수 있는 사람이 되고 싶다”고 밝혔다.
