충남 당진시가 전국 도시재생 성과를 공유하고 지역경제 활성화 전략을 알리기 위해 ‘2025 대한민국 도시·지역혁신 산업박람회’에 참여했다.
당진시에 따르면 24일부터 27일까지 강원특별자치도 삼척시 정라지구에서 열리는 ‘2025 대한민국 도시·지역혁신 산업박람회’에 참가해 도시재생 성과와 비전을 소개하는 홍보관을 운영한다고 밝혔다.
이번 박람회는 국토교통부를 비롯해 강원특별자치도, 삼척시, (사)도시재생산업진흥협회, 연합뉴스가 공동 주최했으며, 전국 지자체와 공공기관, 민간기업이 모여 도시재생 정책과 산업 발전을 논의하는 자리다. 행사 기간 동안 컨퍼런스, 세미나, 공모전, 경진대회 등이 열려 도시재생 관련 다양한 사례와 성과가 공유된다.
당진시는 이번 홍보관에서 주민 참여형 도시재생 사업을 중심으로 당진1동, 당진2동, 합덕읍, 읍내6통, 신평면 등 주요 추진 사례를 선보였다.
특히 거점시설 조성과 운영 성과를 비롯해 주민 생활환경 개선 효과를 소개했으며, 지역 농산물을 활용한 가공제품과 관광자원 홍보도 병행해 ‘도시재생=지역경제 활성화’라는 메시지를 강조했다.
이번 박람회를 통해 당진시는 도시재생 우수 사례를 전국 지자체와 공유하는 동시에, 주민 중심의 지역경제 활성화 모델로서 ‘살기 좋은 당진’의 미래 비전을 제시했다.
