브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= KT가 추석을 앞두고 중소 협력사들의 자금 부담을 덜어주기 위해 납품 대금을 조기 지급한다.
KT(대표이사 김영섭)는 그룹사와 함께 협력사에 총 1859억 원 규모의 납품 대금을 조기 지급한다고 25일 밝혔다. 회사 측은 이번 조치가 협력사의 원활한 자금 운영에 기여할 것으로 기대하고 있다.
KT는 협력사의 안정적 경영을 위해 다양한 금융 지원 제도를 운영해왔다. 2017년부터 1000억 원 규모의 ‘상생협력펀드’를 조성해 저금리 자금 대여를 지원하고 있으며, 납품 전 필요한 생산·운전자금을 마련할 수 있도록 ‘KT 네트워크론’ 제도도 운영 중이다.
또한 KT는 공정거래 문화 확산에도 힘쓰고 있다. 자율준수 프로그램을 통해 투명한 거래 질서를 확립하는 한편, 추석 명절을 맞아 ‘클린 KT’ 캠페인을 실시한다. 협력사와 임직원 간 선물 수수 금지를 원칙으로, 부득이하게 전달된 선물은 반송하거나 봉사단체에 기부한다는 방침이다.
이와 함께 KT는 전국 쪽방촌, 독거노인, 보호 아동, 장애인 등 소외계층 약 3천 가구를 대상으로 지역 소상공인과 연계한 추석 물품 나눔 활동도 진행한다.
이원준 KT 구매실 전무는 “이번 조기 지급이 경기 침체로 어려움을 겪는 협력사에 도움이 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 협력사와의 상생을 위한 다양한 지원 활동을 지속해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
