[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 올해 유난히 긴 추석 연휴(내달 3일~7일)를 앞두고, 창원시립장사시설인 창원상복공원과 마산영생원이 역대급 인파를 맞을 준비 태세에 돌입했다.
창원시설공단은 30일 이번 연휴 기간 동안 지난 설 연휴보다 10%가량 증가한 약 17만여 명의 참배객이 방문할 것으로 예상하며, 안전과 편의를 최우선으로 하는 특별대책을 마련했다고 밝혔다.
공단은 참배객들이 안전하고 편안하게 성묘를 마칠 수 있도록 내달 3일부터 7일까지 '성묘객 지원 상황실'을 운영해 현장 혼잡을 최소화할 계획이다. 또한, 경찰과 긴밀한 협력을 통해 장사시설 주변의 교통질서 유지에 총력을 기울여, 연휴 기간 중 발생할 수 있는 교통정체와 안전사고를 선제적으로 예방할 방침이다.
