세종시가 국가정보자원관리원 화재로 인한 전산시스템 복구 기간 전화나 문자메시지로 대체사이트 접속, 앱 재설치 등을 유도하는 범행이 우려됨에 따라 각별한 주의를 당부했다.
30일 시는 화재로 인한 시스템 장애 등을 이유로 정부기관을 사칭한 전화금융사기(보이스피싱)와 문자메시지 사기(스미싱) 등 범행 시도가 우려되고 있다고 밝혔다.
특히, ▲화재로 인한 정부24 변경 주소 안내 및 접속유도 ▲서비스장애로 인한 납세 지연 사유 신청 ▲민원서비스 장애로 인한 일상생활 피해 국민 보상금 신청 등이 발생할 우려가 제기된다.
또, ▲2차 민생회복 소비쿠폰 지급 지연에 따른 추가 보상 대상자 확인을 유도해 금융정보 및 개인정보를 탈취하는 행위도 발생할 수 있어 주의가 필요하다.
시는 정부가 시스템 장애 등 재난상황 알림 안내문자 발송 시 인터넷주소(URL)가 포함된 문자메시지를 발송하지 않는다고 강조했다.
관련 문자메시지를 수신했을 경우 인터넷주소(URL)를 누르지 말고 즉시 삭제해야 하며, 열람했을 때는 전기통신금융사기 통합신고대응센터(☎ 1566-1188)에 신고하면 도움을 받을 수 있다.
시 관계자는 “시민의 소중한 재산과 안전을 지키기 위해 정부와 긴밀한 협력체계를 강화하고 있다”며, “시민 여러분께서도 피해 예방수칙을 생활 속에서 실천해 피해를 당하지 않도록 주의를 당부드린다”고 말했다.
