2025년 아시아·태평양경제협력체(APEC) 정상회의를 앞두고, 한중 민간교류의 가교 역할을 해온 이창호 한중교류촉진위원회 위원장이 중국 중산대학교 국제관계학원의 필영달(毕颖达) 교수에게 자신의 저서『새 시대를 이끄는 시진핑과 한중관계』를 증정하며 양국 간 교류와 협력의 의미를 되새겼다.
이 위원장은 지난달 29일 중산대학교 국제관계학원이 주최한 아태포럼 시리즈 제155강 특별강연에서 ‘중국과 한국 문화의 이해’를 주제로 강연을 펼친 뒤, 필영달 교수를 비롯한 학계 관계자들과 환담을 나누었다.
이어 이번 APEC을 계기로 한중 양국이 더욱 긴밀한 협력 체계를 구축해야 한다는 메시지를 전하며, 자신의 저서를 교수에게 정성스레 전달했다.
이 위원장은 “한중관계는 단순한 경제 협력을 넘어 아시아와 세계의 평화와 번영을 위한 공동의 책임을 지니고 있다”며 “학문적·문화적 교류가 두 나라 관계를 더욱 건강하게 발전시키는 초석이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
필영달 교수는 “이번 책은 한중관계의 과거와 현재, 그리고 미래를 이해하는 데 큰 통찰을 제공한다”며 “민간 차원의 지속적인 교류가 상호 신뢰와 우정을 강화하는 데 중요한 역할을 한다”고 화답했다.

Ahead of the 2025 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit, Chairman Lee Chang-ho of the Korea-China Exchange Promotion Committee, who has served as a bridge for private exchanges between Korea and China, presented Professor Bi Yingda (毕颖达) of the School of International Relations at Sun Yat-sen University with his book, "Xi Jinping and Korea-China Relations: Leading a New Era," reflecting on the significance of exchange and cooperation between the two countries.
