부산해양경찰서가 송정항 인근 해상에서 윙포일 이용 중 표류하던 50대 남성을 해군과 협조해 신속히 구조했다.
부산해양경찰은 10일 오후 1시 7분경 송정항 남동쪽 약 1km 해상에서 윙포일을 이용해 수상레저활동을 하던 중 표류하던 A씨(58)를 구조했다고 10일 밝혔다.
부산해경에 따르면 A씨는 이날 낮 12시께 송정항을 출항해 윙포일로 수상레저활동을 즐기던 중 오후 1시경 양식장 줄에 보드 하단의 수중 날개 장치인 ‘포일’이 걸리는 사고를 당했다. 이후 장비의 동력을 잃은 채 보드만 붙잡고 해상에 표류하던 중 육군 해안경계부대의 열영상감시장비(TOD)에 포착돼 해경으로 구조 신고가 전달됐다.
신고를 받은 부산해경은 즉시 연안구조정을 현장에 투입해 오후 1시 17분경 표류 중이던 A씨를 발견, 안전하게 구조했다. 당시 A씨는 건강에 이상이 없는 상태였으며 구조 후 육상으로 무사히 이송됐다.
해경 관계자는 “해안경계부대의 신속한 발견과 해경의 구조 대응으로 인명을 구한 군경 협력 사례”라며 “수상레저활동 시 양식장 등 해상 구조물에 각별한 주의를 기울여야 한다”고 당부했다.

The Busan Coast Guard swiftly rescued a man in his 50s who had been drifting at sea while engaging in water leisure activities using a wingfoil near Songjeong Port, in cooperation with the Army’s coastal surveillance unit.
The Busan Coast Guard (Chief Seo Jeong-won) announced that around 1:07 p.m. on October 10, officers rescued a 58-year-old man, identified as A, who was drifting approximately 1 km southeast of Songjeong Port while participating in wingfoil water leisure activities.
According to the Coast Guard, A departed Songjeong Port around noon to enjoy wingfoiling when, at approximately 1 p.m., the “foil” — an underwater wing structure attached to the bottom of his board — became caught on fish farm lines. Having lost propulsion and separated from the wing, A held onto his board as he drifted at sea until he was spotted by the Army’s coastal surveillance unit using a thermal observation device (TOD), which reported the incident to the Coast Guard.
Upon receiving the report, the Coast Guard immediately dispatched a coastal rescue boat, locating and rescuing A at about 1:17 p.m. He was found to be in good health and was safely transported to shore.
A Coast Guard official stated, “This was a successful joint rescue operation between the military and the Coast Guard, in which the Army’s coastal unit quickly detected the person in distress and reported it to us,” adding, “We urge the public to exercise caution around marine structures such as fish farms when engaging in water leisure activities.”
