이재명 대통령이 14일 최근 캄보디아에서 잇따른 한국인 대상 취업 사기·감금 범죄 관련해 “국민 생명·안전을 지키는 게 정부의 가장 큰 책임”이라며 관계 부처의 대응을 지시했다.
이 대통령은 이날 오전 용산 대통령실에서 열린 제45회 국무회의 모두 발언에서 "캄보디아에서 최근 취업 사기·감금 범죄가 횡행하고 있고, 국민들이 크게 피해 입고 있다”며 “현재 다른 무엇보다 피해자들을 보호하고, 사건 연루자들을 신속히 국내로 송환해야 한다”고 했다.
그러면서 "관계 부처는 캄보디아 정부와 협의해 양국 치안 당국 간 상시 공조 체제를 구축하는 데 속도 내야 한다”며 “실종 신고 확인 작업도 조속히 진행하고, 국민 안전을 확보하기 위한 가용 가능 방안을 최대한 즉시 실행하라”고 했다.
이어 "범죄 피해 우려 지역에 대한 여행 제한 강화도 서둘러야 한다”며 “국민이 재외공관에 도움을 요청할 경우 즉시 대응할 수 있도록 관련 제도·인력·예산 편성에 만전을 기하라”고 했다.
또 "최근 글로벌 무역 갈등 심화로 민생경제 불확실성이 커지고 있다"며 "비상한 대응을 통해 민생경제 회복 불씨를 살려나가야 한다"고 했다.
더불어 "시장경제가 정상 작동하려면 정확한 정보 유통이 중요하다"며 "최근 인공지능(AI) 기술을 악용한 허위과장광고가 SNS에서 범람한다 한다. 심지어 부동산 시세 조작도 의심되는 사례가 있다 한다"고 했다.
이 대통령은 "이런 행태는 국민 경제에 큰 피해를 야기하는 시장교란 행위로 마땅히 엄격한 조치가 뒤따라야 한다"며 "관계부처가 이런 시장질서 일탈 행위를 바로잡기 위한 근본 대책을 강구해주길 부탁드린다"고 했다.
또 "부동산 투기를 통해 재산을 늘리겠다는 건 이제는 과거 생각이며 언젠가 반드시 사고 나게 돼 있다"며 "우리나라 부동산 가격이 국민 소득 대비 국제적으로 아마 1등일 것"이라고 했다.
