【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충주 문향회(회장 안애정)에서 주최하는 ‘제13회 문향전국여성문학공모전 시상식과 제17회 문향회 시화전 개막식’이 17일 호암지 생태공원 야외무대에서 열렸다.
시상식에서는 지난 8월 1일부터 31일까지 접수된 총 800여 편 중 13편이 수상작의 영예를 얻었다.
올해 공모전 대상은 송우언(서울) 씨가 응모한 시 ‘동살’이 차지해 충주시장상과 상금 100만 원을 수상하였으며, 금상은 수필 부문 박인숙(대전) 씨의 ‘바느질, 삶을 짓다’와 시 부문 이영미(대전) 씨의 ‘소금꽃’이 각각 선정돼 충주시의회 의장상과 상금 50만 원을 받았다.
은상은 수필 부문 김윤선(충주) 씨의 ‘틈’, 시 부문 박선희(서울) 씨의 ‘식물성 시’가 수상했으며, 수필과 시 부문에서 8명이 동상과 입선에 이름을 올리는 등 총 13명의 수상자가 선정됐다.
심사를 맡은 한국교통대학교 한국어문학과 한원균 교수와 김애자 수필가는 작품 수준이 높아져 수상작 선정에 고심이 컸다는 심사평을 남겼다.
수상작 13편은 제17회 문향회 회원 시화전 작품들과 함께 호암지 생태공원에 이어 중앙탑 공원에서 11월 중순까지 전시될 예정이다.
안애정 회장은 “문향 공모전에서 수상한 분들이 매해 문단 활동하고 있는 소식을 전해줄 때 더없이 행복하다”며 “앞으로도 예비 작가를 발굴하는 데에 앞장설 것이며, 문학을 통해 세상과 소통하는 단체가 되도록 최선을 다하겠다”라고 말했다.
조길형 충주시장은 “이번 공모전이 문학을 사랑하는 많은 분들에게 새로운 영감과 용기를 주는 계기가 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 충주시는 문학인 여러분들의 창작과 교류 활동을 적극 응원하겠다”라고 말했다.
한편, 문향회는 1991년 창립된 충주시 유일의 여성문학단체로 시, 수필, 소설, 동화 등 다양한 장르의 등단 작가 및 전국 백일장, 공모전에서 입상한 자를 회원으로 영입하는 등 활발하게 활동하고 있다.
특히, 매년 문향전국여성문학공모전을 비롯해 시화전, 문집 발간, 문향인의 밤 등을 통해 글의 향기를 전하고 있으며, 다수 회원이 개인 창작집을 지속적으로 발간하고 있다.

The Chungju Munhyanghoe (President Ahn Ae-jeong) held the "13th Munhyang National Women's Literature Contest Awards Ceremony and the 17th Munhyanghoe Poetry Exhibition Opening Ceremony" on the 17th at the outdoor stage of Hoamji Ecological Park.
At the awards ceremony, 13 works were honored as award winners out of approximately 800 submitted between August 1st and 31st.
This year's contest's grand prize went to Song Woo-eon (Seoul) for his poem "Dongsal," which earned him the Chungju Mayor's Award and a cash prize of 1 million won. The gold prizes went to Park In-sook (Daejeon) for "Sewing, Building Life" in the essay category and Lee Yeong-mi (Daejeon) for "Salt Flower," both of which received the Chungju City Council Chairman's Award and a cash prize of 500,000 won.
The silver prizes went to Kim Yun-seon (Chungju) for "Gap" in the essay category and Park Seon-hee (Seoul) for "Vegetable Poem." A total of 13 winners were selected, including eight bronze and honorable mention winners in the essay and poetry categories.
Professor Han Won-gyun and essayist Kim Ae-ja of the Korea National University of Transportation Department of Korean Language and Literature, who judged the contest, noted the high quality of the works and the difficulty in selecting the winners.
The 13 award-winning works, along with works from the 17th Munhyanghoe Members' Poetry and Painting Exhibition, will be exhibited at Hoamji Ecological Park and Jungangtap Park until mid-November.
