남동구에 따르면 소래역사관은 지난 2월 상설전시실 리모델링 완료 이후(2~8월) 관람객 수가 지난해 같은 기간보다 6,383명(41.5%) 증가했다.
지난해 10월부터 약 4개월간 진행된 리모델링은 전시 콘텐츠와 공간 구성을 전면 개편, 디지털 기술과 체험 요소를 결합한 현대적인 전시환경을 구현했다.
