대전문화재단(대표이사 백춘희)이 국내를 대표하는 융복합 문화예술 페스티벌인 '2025 아티언스 대전 <지평 너머의 감각>'을 오는 10월 24일부터 11월 2일(일)까지 국립중앙과학관 미래기술관 3층에서 개최한다.
올해 아티언스 대전의 주제인 <지평 너머의 감각>은 감각과 인식의 기존 경계를 넘어, 서로 다른 개념인 예술과 과학이 만나 융합되고 해체되는 과정 속에서 새로운 의미와 경험이 탄생한다는 의미를 내포하고 있다.
축제의 서막을 알리는 개막 행사는 10월 24일 16시, 미래기술관 3층 전시장에서 열려 예술과 과학의 융합이 만들어내는 감각의 스펙트럼을 선보일 예정이다.
개막식에서는 일렉트로닉 월드뮤직 밴드 <애니멀다이버스>의 오프닝 공연을 시작으로, 빛과 소리를 결합한 윤제호 작가의 레이저아트 퍼포먼스가 이어진다.
특히, 배우 겸 미술작가 박기웅이 모더레이터로 참여하는 융복합 주제 토크콘서트가 마련되어, 이번 개막행사가 아티언스 대전이 국내 융복합 예술 페스티벌로 도약하는 전환점이 될 것으로 기대된다.
개막행사 이후 11월 2일까지는 지난 2년간 9명의 참여 예술가와 7개 협업 연구기관 소속 9명의 과학자가 긴밀히 협력하여 탐구한 창작 결과물 전시와 다채로운 프로그램이 펼쳐진다.
이 기간 동안 DNA 체험, 협업 결과물 연계 퍼포먼스, 스몰토크콘서트, AI 게임 관련 전시 및 AI 바이러스 스탬프 체험, AI 연계 LED 액자 만들기 및 오토마타 만들기 등 시민들이 직접 참여할 수 있는 체험형 프로그램들이 풍성하게 마련될 예정이다.
백춘희 대전문화재단 대표이사는 “아티언스 대전은 AI·디지털 시대에 걸맞게 첨단 과학기술과 예술의 융합을 선도하고 있다”고 강조하며, “앞으로도 대덕연구개발특구를 기반으로 창의력을 가진 예술가들을 적극 지원하여 과학도시 대전만의 문화브랜드 구축과 확산에 앞장서겠다”는 의지를 밝혔다.
한편, ‘아티언스 대전(Artience Daejeon)’은 ‘Art(예술)’과 ‘Science(과학)’의 합성어로, 대덕연구개발특구의 인프라를 바탕으로 예술가와 과학자가 협업하는 융복합 창작 프로젝트로 2011년 전국 최초로 시작된 이래 과학도시 대전의 정체성을 담아 국내 대표 융복합 창작 프로젝트로 성장했으며, 올해는 기존의 전시 중심에서 벗어나 공연, 전시, 퍼포먼스, 토크, 체험이 어우러진 페스티벌형 행사로 대폭 확대되어 관람객을 맞이할 예정이다.
이번 행사는 문화체육관광부, 과학기술정보통신부, 국립중앙과학관 등의 후원과 다양한 협력기관의 참여 속에 진행된다.
