【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북 단양군립올누림도서관은 오는 25일 오후 2시부터 4시까지 과학자들의 재능기부로 진행되는 ‘10월의 하늘’ 과학 행사를 운영한다고 밝혔다.
‘10월의 하늘’은 한국도서관협회와 10월의 하늘 준비위원회가 공동 주최하는 전국 동시 과학 강연 프로젝트로, ‘오늘의 과학자가 내일의 과학자를 만나다’라는 슬로건 아래 전국 공공도서관에서 동시에 열린다.
올누림도서관에서는 이날 오후 2시 도서관 4층 강당에서 정두엽 강사의 ‘사탕수수 기름으로 비행기가 날 수 있다고?’와 임정섭 강사의 ‘내일의 씨앗: 내가 만드는 미래 식물’ 두 가지 주제 강연이 이어지며, 청소년과 주민들에게 과학의 흥미와 미래 기술에 대한 상상력을 불어넣을 예정이다.
참여 대상은 관내 중·고등학생 및 지역주민으로, 올누림도서관 누리집을 통해 선착순 40명 모집한다.
신명희 도서관장은 “이번 ‘10월의 하늘’ 강연이 청소년들이 과학의 즐거움을 느끼고 미래의 과학자로 성장하는 계기가 되기를 바란다”고 말했다.
