브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 일본군 ‘위안부’ 문제 해결을 위한 정의기억연대는 다카이치 사나에 일본 신임 총리의 취임에 깊은 우려를 표명했다.
정의연은 22일 입장문을 통해 다카이치 총리가 일본의 과거 전쟁 범죄와 식민지 지배를 부정하는 극우적 역사관을 갖고 있다며 “한 나라의 총리로서 최소한의 역사 인식조차 부재하다”고 비판했다.
정의연은 “다카이치 사나에는 자민당 내에서도 가장 오른쪽에 있는 강경 보수 인물로, 아베 신조 전 총리의 후계자를 자처하며 ‘여자 아베’로 불린다”며 “아베로부터 이어진 역사 부정의 흐름이 일본의 최고 권력에 다시 자리 잡게 된 현실이 우려스럽다”고 밝혔다.
이어 “다카이치는 1910년 한일강제병합에 대해 ‘당시의 협약에 따른 반성과 사죄를 현재의 일본 정부가 하는 것은 오만한 발상’이라며 일제의 불법 강점을 부정했고, 일본군성노예제 피해에 대해서도 ‘여성의 의사에 반해 군이 매춘을 강요했다는 역사적 자료는 없다’는 망언을 한 바 있다”고 지적했다.
