양 기관은 이번 협약으로 소방 퇴직자 및 의용소방대를 활용한 현장체험학습 안전요원 인력풀 운영, 발달장애학생 대상 소방훈련 추진, 특수학교 소방안전 컨설팅 및 학부모 대상 교육 확대 등 안전 인프라 강화를 위한 다양한 협력 사업을 추진할 예정이다.
도성훈 교육감은 “이번 협약은 학생 안전을 최우선 가치로 삼는 인천시교육청과, 현장 경험을 갖춘 인천소방본부가 함께 공공의 책임을 실천하는 협력 모델”이라며 “앞으로도 유관기관과의 긴밀한 협력으로 모두가 안전한 교육환경 조성에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
