동국대 WISE캠퍼스, APEC 정상회의 맞아 ‘와이즈 투어’ 운영

【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=동국대학교 WISE캠퍼스(총장 류완하)는 2025 APEC 정상회의의 성공 개최를 기원하며 APEC 방문객과 지역 시민을 대상으로 특별 프로그램 ‘WISE Tour(와이즈 투어)’를 운영한다고 23일 밝혔다.

이번 프로그램은 오는 10월 28일부터 30일까지 3일간 매일 한 차례씩 총 3회에 걸쳐 진행된다. 참가자들은 교내 상징물인 ‘백상탑’을 출발해 ▲박물관 특별전시 ‘와우(瓦遇)’ 관람 ▲WISE 조형물 및 임신서기석 탐방 등 주요 명소를 둘러보며, 신라 화랑의 학문적 전통과 대학의 현대적 모습을 함께 체험할 수 있다.

특히 이번 투어는 내·외국인 및 경주시민 누구나 무료로 참여 가능하며, 동국대 WISE캠퍼스 박물관 큐레이터의 문화 해설과 영어 통역 서비스가 제공된다. 또한 참가자 전원에게는 기념품이 증정된다. 참여 신청은 홍보 포스터 내 QR코드를 통한 온라인 접수로 가능하며, 회당 40명 선착순으로 마감된다.

류완하 총장은 “동국대 WISE캠퍼스는 신라 천년의 정신과 불교적 인문가치를 계승해 글로벌 시대의 교육·문화 허브로 도약하고 있다”며 “APEC을 계기로 지역사회와 함께 세계 속의 대학으로 성장하겠다”고 말했다.

한편 동국대 WISE캠퍼스는 지역 거점 대학으로서 APEC 경주 유치 캠페인, ‘페루–경주 사진전’, 대학생 자원봉사단 운영, 세계시민교육 프로그램 등 다양한 국제교류 활동을 이어오고 있다. 대학 측은 이번 WISE 투어를 통해 지역과 대학, 세계를 잇는 문화·교육 교류의 장으로 발전시킬 계획이다.

 Dongguk University WISE Campus to Host "WISE Tour" in Time for APEC Summit

Dongguk University WISE Campus (President Ryu Wan-ha) announced on the 23rd that it will host a special program, "WISE Tour," for APEC visitors and local residents, in celebration of the successful hosting of the 2025 APEC Summit.

The program will run three times, once daily, for three days from October 28th to 30th. Participants will begin at the university's landmark, the Baeksangtap (White Pagoda), and tour key attractions, including the museum's special exhibition "Wau (瓦遇)" and the WISE sculptures and the Imjinseogi Stone. This tour is free to all Koreans, international visitors, and Gyeongju residents. Applications for participation can be submitted online via the QR code on the promotional poster, and will be limited to 40 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
