유진그룹 계열사 유진기업(대표 최재호)과 동양(대표 박주형)이 국내 레미콘 업계 최초로 라텍스 기반 콘크리트 균열 제어기술에 대한 공식 인증을 획득했다.
한국콘크리트학회는 최근 유진기업과 동양이 공동 개발한 ‘라텍스 누름 콘크리트(SmartCon Cover)’에 대해 ‘콘크리트 기술인증(KCIC 25-009)’을 부여했다. 이는 레미콘 업계에서 라텍스를 활용한 균열 제어 기술로는 첫 번째 공식 인증 사례다.
내구성과 방수성 한 번에
‘라텍스 누름 콘크리트’는 콘크리트 내부에 미세한 라텍스 입자를 혼합해 필름막을 형성, 건조·수축 시 발생하는 미세 균열을 최소화하는 기술이다. 이 방식은 콘크리트의 내부 응력을 흡수하고 수분 증발을 억제해 균열 저감률을 기존 방식 대비 80% 이상 높였다.
한국콘크리트학회는 “균열 저항성과 방수성이 동시에 향상돼 옥상 슬래브·지하주차장 등 내구성이 중요한 구조물의 품질을 획기적으로 높인다”고 평가했다.
유진기업과 동양은 올해 1월부터 9월까지 전국 90여 개 현장에 총 8만㎥를 출하하며 기술의 현장성을 입증했다. 주요 적용 부위는 옥상 바닥, 기계실, 지하주차장 등 균열·누수에 취약한 구간이다.
유진그룹의 이번 성과는 레미콘 산업의 패러다임 전환을 상징한다.
기존의 레미콘 산업이 원가 경쟁과 납기 중심의 단순 공급산업이었다면, 최근에는 품질·안전·ESG 중심의 기술 경쟁으로 이동하고 있다.

유진기업 기술연구소 관계자는 “라텍스 혼입 기술은 균열을 물리적으로 막는 것이 아니라 화학적 결합력으로 근본 제어한다는 점에서 의미가 크다”며 “고내구성 콘크리트 라인업 ‘SmartCon’ 시리즈를 확대해 건설 현장의 품질 향상에 기여하겠다”고 말했다.

유진기업과 동양은 이미 ‘SmartCon’ 시리즈를 통해 특수 콘크리트 라인업을 고도화하고 있다.

Eugene Corporation (CEO Choi Jae-ho) and Tongyang (CEO Park Joo-hyung), affiliates of the Eugene Group, have become the first in South Korea's ready-mix concrete (RMC) industry to obtain official certification for latex-based concrete crack control technology.
The Korea Concrete Institute recently granted the 'Concrete Technology Certification (KCIC 25-009)' to the 'Latex Trowel Concrete (SmartCon Cover)' jointly developed by Eugene Corporation and Tongyang. This marks the first official certification in the RMC industry for crack control technology utilizing latex.
Durability and Waterproofing in One
'Latex Trowel Concrete' is a technology that minimizes the micro-cracks that occur during drying and shrinkage by mixing minute latex particles into the concrete to form a film. This method absorbs internal stress in the concrete and suppresses moisture evaporation, increasing the crack reduction rate by over 80% compared to conventional methods.
The Korea Concrete Institute evaluated that it "significantly enhances the quality of structures where durability is critical, such as rooftop slabs and underground parking lots, by simultaneously improving crack resistance and waterproofing."
From January to September this year, Eugene Corporation and Tongyang proved the field applicability of the technology by supplying a total of 80,000 cubic meters to over 90 sites nationwide. Key application areas include rooftop floors, machine rooms, and underground parking lots—sections vulnerable to cracking and leakage.
