보문단지의 숙박·교통·보행환경 개선, 시가지의 생태문화공간 조성, 포항경주공항 국제선 부정기편 추진, KTX 증편 등 교통 인프라 확충도 이어졌다.
APEC을 계기로 경주는 명실상부한 MICE 산업 중심의 국제회의 도시로 자리매김했다.

경주시는 APEC 성공 개최를 계기로 ‘포스트 APEC 본부’를 신설하고, 전략기획·미래산업·디지털정책 등 3대 전담체계를 구축한다.

주낙영 시장은 3년간의 여정을 “행정이 아닌 시민이 완성한 기적”이라 표현했다.
