세종시 공무원들이 매주 금요일마다 지역상권 살리기에 나선다.
세종시는 7일부터 매주 금요일을 ‘민생 온기 확산의 날’로 정하고 지역경제 활력 회복과 일하기 좋은 공직문화를 조성하기 위한 소비 촉진 운동을 본격 시행한다고 밝혔다.
이번 제도는 공무원들이 자율적 참여를 통해 지역상권 소비를 늘리고, 경기 침체 속에서 공직자의 사회적 책임을 실천하기 위해 마련됐다. 시는 이를 ‘일할 맛 나는 근무환경’ 혁신 방안의 일환으로 추진한다.
매주 금요일에는 부서장 재량 아래 공무원 품위유지 기준에 맞는 가볍고 편한 복장을 착용할 수 있으며, 유연근무제를 활용해 효율적인 업무와 일·생활 균형을 도모할 계획이다.
또한 ‘대중교통의 날’ 운영 범위를 확대해 매주 금요일에는 자가용 이용을 자제하고 버스 등 대중교통 이용을 권장한다. 아울러 시청 구내식당은 계속 휴무를 유지해 직원들이 자연스럽게 지역 식당을 이용하도록 유도할 방침이다.
