도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령이 9일(현지시간) "(외국)기업들이 미국에 몰려드는 건 오로지 관세 때문"이라고 밝혔다.
미 'AP 통신'에 따르면 트럼프 대통령은 이날 자신의 트루스소셜 글을 통해 이같이 지적 후 "미 (연방)대법원은 이런 얘기를 듣지 못했는가? 도대체 무슨 일이 벌어지는 건가"라며 "이게 맞는지 확인해보자"고 관세 정책 당위성을 거듭 강조했다.
앞서 지난주부터 연방 대법원이 트럼프 2기 행정부의 관세 부과 적법성 판단에 들어간 가운데 미 대통령의 관세 부과 권한 및 국가적 이익 부문을 강조하고 나선 형국이다.
