박용주 제33대 경기북부보훈지청장이 11월 7일 공식 취임했다.
신임 박용주 지청장은 보훈행정 30년 경력의 전문가다.
1992년 인천대학교 행정학과 재학 중 총무처 7급과 경기도 7급 시험에 동시 합격한 뒤, 1994년 국가보훈부에 첫 발을 내딛었다.

이후 운영지원과를 거쳐 보상정책과장, 복지운영과장 등 핵심 보직을 두루 역임했으며, 경기동부·경기남부·인천·충북북부지청장을 거쳐 이번에 경기북부보훈지청장으로 부임했다.
박 지청장은 7일 오전 의정부시 현충탑 참배를 시작으로 공식 업무에 돌입했다.
취임 소감을 밝힌 박 지청장은 "군부대도 많고 6·25전쟁 격전지로 보훈기념시설도 많은 경기북부지청은 처음 발령지였는데 마지막 부임지가 되어 매우 감회가 새롭다"고 말했다.
이어 "유종의 미를 거두기 위해서라도 사명감을 갖고 국가를 위해 희생하고 헌신하신 국가유공자분들과 보훈가족을 위해 최선을 다하겠다"고 포부를 밝혔다.
