[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시가 국가 에너지 정책 기조를 지역의 산업 특성과 생활 여건에 맞춰 선제적으로 이식하는 '에너지 자립 도시' 로드맵 설계에 착수했다.
김해연구원(원장 김재원)은 14일 김해 아이스퀘어호텔에서 에너지경제연구원(KEEI)과의 업무협약(MOU) 후속 조치로 ‘김해 에너지경제 포럼’을 개최했다.
이번 포럼은 국책연구기관과 지역연구기관이 힘을 합쳐 국가 및 경남도의 상위 에너지 정책 방향을 공유하고, 이를 김해시 실정에 부합하는 '지역 맞춤형 정책'으로 구체화하기 위해 마련됐다.
이번 포럼에서는 ▲지역에너지 기본계획과 분산에너지 정책 방향(박기현 에너지경제연구원 선임연구위원), ▲지역에너지 통계 및 장기 에너지 전망(신힘철 에너지경제연구원 연구위원), ▲김해시 에너지 수요관리와 신재생 에너지 정책 현황(이연정 김해연구원 연구위원) 등 세 가지 주제가 발표됐다.
이어진 종합 토론에서는 김해연구원, 에너지경제연구원 외에도 부산대·창원대 교수진, 부산연구원, 경남연구원, 창원시정연구원 등 영남권 광역 및 기초연구기관 전문가들이 대거 참여했다.
김재원 김해연구원장은“국책연구원과 지역연구원이 함께 지역 에너지정책의 방향성을 모색한 뜻깊은 자리였다”며, “내년도 수립 예정인 ‘김해시 지역에너지 기본계획’에서 이번 논의 결과를 체계적으로 반영해 실효성있는 정책 대안을 제시하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Gimhae City has launched a roadmap for an "energy self-sufficient city," proactively adapting national energy policy to the region's industrial characteristics and living conditions.
The Gimhae Research Institute (Director Kim Jae-won) held the "Gimhae Energy Economy Forum" at the Gimhae I Square Hotel on the 14th as a follow-up to a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korea Energy Economics Institute (KEEI).
