교하도서관 어린이자료실이 2025년 한 해 동안 다양한 독서와 체험 프로그램을 운영하며 어린이들의 도서관 이용 활성화와 책 읽는 문화 정착에 기여했다.

특히 지역 어린이집과 유치원을 대상으로 진행한 도서관 견학 프로그램은 도서관 소개와 이용 예절 교육, 책 읽어주기, 자유열람 등으로 구성돼 어린이들이 도서관을 친숙하게 느낄 수 있는 기회를 제공했다.
한 해 동안 23회 운영해 254명의 어린이가 참여하며 높은 호응을 얻었다.
교육기관 단체를 중심으로 진행된 가상동화체험 프로그램은 3차원 가상공간과 모션 인식 기술을 활용해 어린이들이 동화 속 주인공이 되어 이야기를 체험하도록 구성됐다.
올해 71회 운영해 737명의 어린이가 참여했으며 책과 디지털 체험을 결합한 시도로 독서 흥미와 창의성 향상에 긍정적인 효과를 보였다는 평가다.
이 밖에도 교하도서관은 북스타트 사업과 연계한 책놀이와 부모교육을 포함해 윤독 독서동아리, 작가와의 만남, 독서교실, 코딩 교육 등 다양한 프로그램을 376명을 대상으로 27회 운영했으며 또 자원봉사자들의 책 읽어주기 활동과 여러 독서 이벤트를 통해 어린이들의 독서 참여를 확대하며 즐겁게 책과 만날 수 있는 환경을 마련했다.
교하도서관 관계자는 올해 운영된 어린이자료실 프로그램들이 어린이들이 책을 더욱 친근하게 느끼고 도서관을 즐길 수 있는 계기가 됐다며 앞으로도 책과 체험이 어우러진 프로그램을 지속적으로 운영해 지역 교육기관과의 협력을 강화하고 책 읽는 문화를 넓혀가겠다고 밝혔다.
