비전향장기수 안학섭 선생이 올해의 불교인권상 수상자로 선정됐다.
불교인권위원회에 따르면, 비전향장기수 안학섭 선생이 20일 ‘불교인권위원회 창립 35주년 기념식 및 제31회 불교인권상 시상식>에서 31회 인권상수상자로, 2025년 인권공로상수상자로 박정훈대령을 선정했다고 발표했다.
안학섭 선생은 수상소감에서 “42년 4개월의 유적(流謫)기간을 거쳐 95년 석방, 끊임없는 미로를 헤매는 듯 살았다. 하지만 ‘비전향’이라는 끈을 놓지 않으려고 정신을 곧추 세우고 살아왔다.”고 밝혔다.
안학섭 선생은 “분단시대의 인권운동은 외세와의 싸움”이라면서 “불교인권상을 주는 것은 분단시대에 파묻힌 인간의 존엄성을 끊임없이 외치라는 뜻”이며 “죽는 그날까지 분단의 모순과 갑오년의 척양척왜 정신의 깃발을 높이 들고 한점 부끄럼 없이 살다 가겠다”고 말했다. 시상식은 20일 오전 11시, 창덕궁 소극장에서 열렸다.
