파주시가 금촌2 공영주차장(로데오거리 철골주차장) 보수공사를 완료하고 오는 24일부터 시민에게 다시 문을 연다.
시는 21일 시설 노후화로 인한 안전사고를 예방하고 주차환경을 개선하기 위해 추진한 전면 정비 사업을 마무리했다고 밝혔다.

이번 공사는 철골 구조물 보강 및 도장 등 시설물 개선, 노후 주차관제시스템 교체 및 주차정보시스템 설치, 확장형 주차면 설치 등을 주요 내용으로 한다.
특히 옥상층 주차면을 재조정해 차량 간 간격을 넓힌 것이 가장 큰 개선사항이다.

이를 통해 주차 편의성이 크게 향상될 것으로 기대된다.
당초 공사 기간은 2026년 2월까지로 계획됐으나, 건축감리·구조감리·시공사 간 지속적인 현장 협의와 공정 관리, 그리고 주변 상인들의 협조 덕분에 안전을 확보하면서도 공정을 약 3개월 앞당길 수 있었다.
이성원 주차관리과장은 "이번 보수공사는 공영주차장 안전성과 편의성을 모두 강화한 사업으로 시민들이 공영주차장을 더욱 안심하고 이용할 수 있게 됐다"며 "공사 기간 동안 불편을 감내해 주신 시민과 인근 상인 여러분께 감사드린다"고 말했다.
