이재명 대통령이 22일(현지시간) 남아프리카공화국 G20(주요20개국) 정상회의 계기로 '믹타(MIKTA)' 정상들과 만나 국제 협력 증진 역할 강화 등 내용이 담긴 ‘공동언론발표문’을 채택했다.
이 대통령은 이날 오후 요하네스버그 엑스포 센터 다자회의장에서 한국·멕시코·인도네시아·튀르키예·호주 5개국으로 구성된 믹타 회원국 정상들과 회동했다.
공동언론발표문엔 다자 무대에서 글로벌 현안에 대한 논의·컨센서스 도출·시급한 글로벌 도전 과제에 대한 실용적 해결책 모색 등을 통한 믹타의 가교 역할 진전 등에 대한 합의가 담겼다.
이 대통령이 의장 자격으로 개최한 이번 회동엔 레젭 타입 에르도안 튀르키예 대통령·앤소니 알바니지 호주 총리·기브란 라카부밍 라카 인도네시아 부통령·에드가르 아마도르 사모라 멕시코 재무장관 등이 참석했다.
