【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=경북문화재단 콘텐츠진흥원(원장 이종수, 이하 진흥원)은 11월 22일 토요일 울진해양레포츠센터에서 ‘울진군 찾아가는 지자체 컨설팅’을 열고 울진군 해양콘텐츠 산업 육성 방안을 논의했다.

이번 컨설팅은 울진의 해양자원을 기반으로 신규 콘텐츠 사업을 발굴하기 위해 마련됐으며, 울진해양레포츠센터 시설 견학 및 교육 체험, 신사업 발굴을 위한 주제 발표, 종합토론 순으로 진행됐다.
주제 발표에서 최재호 울진해양레포츠센터장은 ‘울진 해양레포츠 문화 선도의 나비효과’를 주제로 프리다이빙 중심의 콘텐츠 개발 필요성을 제시했다. 그는 지속 가능한 해양레저 생태계 조성을 위해 “콘텐츠·교육·제도 간 유기적 결합이 이루어져야 한다”며 해양레포츠 산업 육성의 방향성을 강조했다.
이어진 종합토론은 ‘울진의 콘텐츠 인프라 활용 정책 제언’을 주제로 한국해양과학기술원(KIOST) 최복경 책임연구원이 좌장을 맡아 진행됐다.
박진영 대구한의대학교 교수는 '경북 해양 레저·관광 육성 및 지원에 관한 조례' 분석을 바탕으로 "울진에 최적화된 해양 레저·관광 콘텐츠 개발의 타당성을 확보해야 한다"고 강조했다.
최재선 ㈜에코트라오션랩 연구개발본부장은 해양 영상콘텐츠 전문 인프라 구축을 통한 지역경제 활성화 방안을 제시했으며, 조우정 한국해양대학교 교수는 해녀·해남 학교 프로그램 사례를 언급하며 신규 해양레포츠 교육과 공공 해양 안전 교육 프로그램 운영의 필요성을 역설했다.
이종수 원장은 “울진군이 보유한 아름다운 해양 자원이 산업 경쟁력으로 이어질 수 있도록 현장에서 적용 가능한 정책 마련을 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
한편, 지난해 발족한 ‘해양 콘텐츠산업 육성 포럼’은 올해 환동해 권역별 찾아가는 지자체 컨설팅을 추진하며 신규 정책 발굴에 힘쓰고 있다. 지난 10월 영덕군을 시작으로 울진에서 두 번째 컨설팅을 진행했으며, 오는 25일 포항시에서 마지막 일정을 이어갈 예정이다.

Uljin County Holds "On-site Local Government Consulting" to Foster Marine Content Industry

Choi Jae-seon, Head of Research and Development at Ecotra Ocean Lab, proposed measures to revitalize the local economy by establishing specialized marine video content infrastructure. Professor Cho Woo-jeong of Korea Maritime and Ocean University emphasized the need for new marine leisure sports education and public marine safety education programs, citing examples of the Haenyeo and Haenam School programs.
Director Lee Jong-soo stated, "I look forward to implementing applicable policies so that Uljin County's beautiful marine resources can be leveraged for industrial competitiveness."
Meanwhile, the "Marine Content Industry Promotion Forum," launched last year, is actively exploring new policies this year by conducting on-site consulting services for local governments in the East Sea Rim region. The second consulting session was held in Uljin, starting with Yeongdeok County last October, and the final session will be held in Pohang City on the 25th.
