[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시 곳곳에서 대가 없는 땀방울로 지역사회의 온도를 높여온 ‘숨은 영웅’들이 한자리에 모였다. 창원특례시는 24일, 창원시자원봉사회(회장 오명자) 회원 100여 명이 참석한 가운데 한 해 동안의 노고를 격려하는 ‘2025년 우수자원봉사자 시상식’을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 2025년 한 해 동안 창원시자원봉사회가 일궈낸 나눔의 결실을 공유하고 서로를 응원하는 ‘화합의 장’으로 꾸며졌다. 지역사회 나눔 활동에 헌신한 공로로 총 15명의 회원이 수상의 영예를 안았다. 

특히 이번 수상자들은 주민들의 삶과 가장 맞닿아 있는 ‘생활 현장’에서 꾸준히 봉사를 이어온 이들이 선정되어 그 의미를 더했다. 이들은 독거노인 돌봄부터 환경 정화, 저소득층 지원 등 행정의 손길이 미치기 어려운 복지 사각지대에서 묵묵히 이웃 사랑을 실천해 온 것으로 알려졌다.

오명자 창원시자원봉사회 회장은 “한 해 동안 지역사회를 위해 묵묵히 봉사해 주신 모든 회원 여러분께 깊이 감사드린다”며, “앞으로도 따뜻한 나눔과 사랑으로 소외된 이웃을 보듬는 봉사활동을 이어가겠다”고 말했다.
