최 의원은 이 같은 문제를 해결하기 위해 지난 3월 ‘전자상거래 등에서의 소비자보호에 관한 법률’ 일부개정안을 대표 발의했다. 이번 개정안에는 온라인 플랫폼에서 부동산 거래를 중개하는 사업자에게 이용자 신원 확인과 소유권 등 핵심 정보의 사전 제공을 의무화하는 내용이 담겼다. 이는 허위 매물과 사칭 거래를 막고, 온라인 기반 부동산 거래의 신뢰도를 높이기 위한 취지다.
최은석 의원은 “온라인 부동산 거래가 빠르게 확산되고 있는 만큼, 소비자가 안심하고 거래할 수 있는 책임 체계를 마련하는 것이 중요하다”면서 “앞으로도 소비자 권익 보호와 공정한 시장 질서 확립, 신뢰받는 디지털 거래 환경 조성을 위한 입법 활동을 이어가겠다”고 밝혔다.
