【브레이크뉴스 경북】진예솔 기자=김천 율빛유치원이 ‘2025년 어린이집·유치원 방과후 과정 및 프로그램 운영 우수사례 공모전’에서 교육부장관상을 수상했다.
경북교육청은 27일, 율빛유치원이 특색 있는 방과후 과정과 연장 교육프로그램 분야에서 우수기관으로 이름을 올렸다고 밝혔다.
이번 공모전은 교육과 돌봄의 국가책임 강화를 목표로 진행됐다. 전국 유치원과 어린이집의 방과후 과정 운영 사례 가운데 우수 프로그램을 선정해 발굴·확산하는 데 의의가 있다.
율빛유치원은 ‘율빛 방과후 온(溫)놀터’ 프로그램을 통해 연령별 발달과 흥미를 반영한 ‘해·달·별 놀이’, 자연과 마음 성장 놀이, 가정 및 지역사회 연계 놀이 등 유아 중심 활동을 체계적으로 운영해 높은 평가를 받았다.
특히, 자연 친화적인 환경 조성과 유아 중심 놀이문화 확산, 교사 순환 배치와 학습공동체 운영을 통한 교사 전문성 강화 등에서 모범적인 사례로 꼽혔다. 이 같은 노력은 프로그램의 완성도와 지속 가능성을 한층 높였다는 평가다.
또한 율빛유치원의 활동은 유아 전인적 발달을 촉진했을 뿐 아니라, 유치원 조직문화 개선과 수업의 질 향상에도 긍정적인 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다. 놀이 중심 교육 문화가 가정과 지역사회로까지 넓게 퍼진 점도 큰 효과로 주목받았다.
임종식 경북교육감은 “이번 수상은 유아들이 안전하고 행복하게 성장할 수 있도록 현장에서 쏟아온 모든 노력이 인정받은 결과”라며 “우수사례가 널리 확산될 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않고, 모든 유아가 질 높은 방과후 과정을 누릴 수 있는 환경 조성에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.
