김민석 총리가 '포스트 이재명' 자리로 성큼 닥아간 분위기(?)이다. 차기 대선 주자 여론조사 중 여권 인사들 가운데, 즉 '포스트 이재명' 위치를 선점(?)하기 시작했다.

역대 대통령 선거에서 '대통령 흥행사'로 알려진 권노갑 전 국회의원(김대중 전 대통령 측근)은 월간조선 12월호와 인터뷰를 가졌다. 이 잡지에 “권노갑이 말하는 김대중-이재명, 민주당”이라는 제목의 기사가 게재됐다.

이어 “국민의 뜻에 따라서 선출된 대통령의 정책 방향을 실현하는 총 참모장, 국가 종합상황본부장, 그리고 국민께는 새벽을 지키는 새벽 총리로서 제가 할 수 있는 최대한의 헌법과 법률에 명해진 대로 역할을 다 하겠다. 함께 뛰시자 하는 말씀을 드린다.”고 강조했다.

국무총리실은 12월1일, 서울시장 선거관련 여론조사의 조사대상에서 김민석 총리를 제외해 달라고 요청했다. 총리직에 매진하겠다는 의도로 보여진다.
