지역사회 복지증진과 나눔 문화 확산에 앞장서 온 고양시사회복지협의회가 설립 20주년을 맞아 그간의 성과를 돌아보고 감사의 뜻을 나누는 자리를 마련했다.
사회복지법인 고양시사회복지협의회는 지난 1일 일산서구청 가와지대강당에서 '희망나눔 감사행사'를 개최했다.

이날 행사에는 이동환 고양특례시장을 비롯해 김성회 국회의원, 이경혜·명재성 도의원, 김응화 고양시사회복지협의회장과 후원자 및 봉사자 등 170여 명이 참석해 자리를 빛냈다.
행사는 국악그룹 '지음'의 축하공연으로 막을 올렸다.
이어 표창장 수여식이 진행됐으며, 내빈 축사와 20주년 감사 영상 상영이 이어졌다.
특히 미래를 약속하는 타임캡슐 봉인식과 함께 취약계층을 위한 '사랑의 이불 전달'을 위한 나눔 편지 작성 시간도 마련돼 참석자들의 따뜻한 마음을 모았다.

이동환 고양특례시장은 축사를 통해 "고양시사회복지협의회의 설립 20주년을 진심으로 축하드린다"며 "오늘은 지역 나눔 문화 확산을 위해 헌신해 주신 여러분께 감사의 마음을 전하는 뜻깊은 자리"라고 말했다.
이어 "여러분의 따뜻한 나눔이 단순한 지원을 넘어 많은 이들에게 희망을 담은 선물이 되길 바란다"고 덧붙였다.
고양시사회복지협의회는 지난 20년간 지역사회 복지 사각지대 해소와 취약계층 지원, 나눔 문화 조성 등 고양시 복지 발전에 중추적인 역할을 해왔다.
