【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=‘제4회 단양 암각자 탁본전시회–너른 빛, 단양 바위글씨 비추었네’가 오는 9일 오후 4시 개막을 시작으로, 31일까지 올누림센터 바라봄전시장에서 단양문화보존회 주관으로 열린다.
이번 전시는 단양 곳곳의 풍광 속에 선인들이 남겨놓은 귀중한 암각자(岩刻字)를 탁본으로 모아 선보이는 자리로, 단양문화보존회에서 오랜 기간 관리·연구해온 120여 점 중 30여 점이 엄선돼 공개된다.
특히 전시작 대부분은 지역 향토사학자이자 단양문화보존회 회원으로 활동했던 故 광보(光普) 지성용 선생이 남긴 금석문 탁본 자료로 구성됐다.
선생의 작고 1주기를 맞아 마련된 전시인 만큼 회원들이 더욱 정성을 다해 준비했다.
전시 부제 ‘너른 빛, 단양 바위글씨 비추었네’는 광보 선생의 호에서 따온 것으로, 지역문화인에 대한 헌정과 함께 단양의 역사 문화를 기리는 의미를 담고 있다.
단양문화보존회는 지난 11월 1일 ‘제39회 두향제’를 비롯해 죽령산신제, 소백산산신제, 온달장군진혼제 등 지역 문화제례를 꾸준히 주관하고 있으며 정기 문화답사, 제1회 사인암우탁문화제 개최 등 전통문화 계승 활동에도 앞장서고 있다.
더불어 올해 안에 지역문화보존사업의 일환으로 ‘단양의 향토 제례문화’ 책자 발간도 준비 중이다.
대한민국 대표 자연관광도시로 자리매김한 단양이 이제는 고유한 역사·문화 자산을 더해 ‘보는 관광’을 넘어 인문학적 콘텐츠를 품은 세계적인 문화관광지로 도약해야 한다는 점에서도 본 전시는 중요한 시사점을 던진다.

Danyang County to Hold 4th Petroglyph Rubbing Exhibition on the 9th
The "4th Danyang Petroglyph Rubbing Exhibition – Broad Light Illuminates Danyang's Rock Inscriptions" will open at 4 p.m. on the 9th and run until the 31st at the Barabom Exhibition Hall of the Olnurim Center, hosted by the Danyang Cultural Preservation Society.
