법무부(장관 정성호) 서울서부보호관찰소가 5일 지역사회 범죄예방 활동을 담당하는 보호관찰위원들을 대상으로 전문교육을 실시했다.
이번 교육은 '법무부 서울서부보호관찰소협의회' 소속 보호관찰위원들의 전문성 강화를 위해 마련됐다.

상담사, 사회복지사, 교사 등 다양한 분야에서 활동하는 위원들이 참석해 청소년 심리적 특성과 상담요령 등을 중점적으로 학습했다.
보호관찰위원들은 지역사회 내에서 자원봉사자로 활동하며 보호관찰 대상자들의 상담 및 원호지원을 담당하고 있다.
이들은 청소년들이 사회에 건강하게 복귀할 수 있도록 돕는 중요한 역할을 수행한다.
