【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포스코 포항제철소가 6일 포항 효자아트홀에서 ‘같이라서 행복한 동행 음악회’를 열고 지역 주민에게 겨울밤 오케스트라 공연을 선보였다.

이번 공연은 포스코1%나눔재단의 사회 공헌 프로그램 일환으로 마련됐으며, 초록우산 어린이재단과 협력해 추진됐다. 행사에는 이태규 포항제철소 행정지원그룹장, 박정숙 초록우산 경북지역본부장, 장정원 포항지역아동센터연합회장 등 관계자들이 참석했다.
공연을 진행한 포스필하모닉오케스트라는 2010년 창단된 포항 유일의 시민 오케스트라다. 클래식을 사랑하는 포스코·협력사 직원과 가족, 그리고 일반 시민이 함께 참여하고 있으며, 정기 공연과 재능 나눔 활동을 이어오고 있다.
이번 무대는 1부와 2부로 구성됐다. 1부는 작곡가 김지원의 신작 ‘Gu Ryong(구룡)’으로 문을 열었으며, 이어 베토벤 ‘코리올란 서곡’, 모차르트 오페라 ‘피가로의 결혼 서곡’ 등이 연주됐다. 포항지역아동센터 아동·청소년 단체 ‘퐝퐝 우리들의 오케스트라’도 협연에 참여해 온앤오프의 팝 댄스곡 ‘By My Monster’를 선보였다.
2부에서는 가람 예술단의 국악 연주와 포스필하모닉이 함께한 양방언의 ‘프런티어’가 무대에 올랐다. 이어 한태수 작곡 ‘아름다운 나라’, 울마 성악 앙상블의 디즈니 OST 메들리, 영화음악 연주 등이 이어졌으며, 관객 요청에 따른 앵콜곡 ‘영일만 친구’로 공연은 마무리됐다.
공연을 찾은 시민 한 명은 “클래식과 성악, 영화음악이 함께하는 무대가 흔치 않아 특별했다”며 “연령과 취향을 가리지 않는 레퍼토리라 가족 모두가 즐길 수 있었다”고 말했다.
이창수 포스필하모닉오케스트라 대표는 “음악으로 지역사회와 마음을 나누는 시간이 됐다”며 “앞으로도 포항 시민이 일상 속에서 클래식을 경험할 수 있도록 활동을 이어가겠다”고 밝혔다.
한편 포스필하모닉오케스트라는 앞으로도 정기 공연과 예술 단체 협연 등을 통해 지역 문화 확산 활동을 지속한다는 계획이다.

POSCO Pohang Works held the "Happy Together Concert" at the Pohang Hyoja Art Hall on the 6th, offering local residents a winter night orchestra performance.

This concert consisted of two parts. The first part opened with composer Kim Ji-won's new work, "Gu Ryong," followed by performances of Beethoven's "Coriolan Overture" and Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro Overture." The Pohang Regional Children's Center's children and youth group, "Hmph Hmph Our Orchestra," also participated in the performance, performing ONF's pop dance piece, "By My Monster."
The second part featured a traditional Korean music performance by the Garam Arts Troupe and Yang Bang-eon's "Frontier" with the Pos Philharmonic Orchestra. This was followed by "Beautiful Country," composed by Han Tae-soo, a medley of Disney soundtracks and film music by the Ulma Vocal Ensemble, and a performance of film music. The concert concluded with an encore piece, "Yeongilman Friend," at the request of the audience.
One attendee remarked, "It was a rare and special performance combining classical music, vocal music, and film music. The repertoire was suitable for all ages and tastes, making it enjoyable for the entire family."
Lee Chang-soo, director of the Pohang Philharmonic Orchestra, said, "This is a time to share our hearts with the community through music. We will continue our activities to enable Pohang citizens to experience classical music in their daily lives."
Meanwhile, the Pohang Philharmonic Orchestra plans to continue its efforts to promote local culture through regular performances and collaborations with art groups.
