이번 수상은 청년 고립·은둔 문제 해결을 위한 조례 제정 등 꾸준한 정책 활동이 인정받은 결과다.
정 의원은 최근 지역사회의 청년 고립과 단절이 심각해지는 상황을 개인 문제가 아니라 지역이 함께 해결해야 할 과제로 보고, 적극적으로 대응해왔다.
핵심 성과로 꼽히는 ‘사회적 고립·은둔 청년 지원 조례’는 최근 열린 제273회 정례회 본회의에서 통과돼 제도적 기반을 마련했다.
조례에는 고립·은둔 청년의 조기 발굴, 상담 및 지원 체계 구축에 관한 내용이 담겼다. 이에 따라 수성구에서도 청년들이 사회에 복귀하고 심리적으로 회복할 수 있도록 종합적으로 지원할 수 있는 근거가 마련됐다는 평가다.
정 의원은 “고립된 청년들이 다시 사회와 연결될 수 있도록 돕는 일은 지역사회 모두의 책임”이라며 “이번 수상을 계기로 청년 지원 정책을 더욱 촘촘하게 보완하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Daegu Suseong District Council member Jeong Dae-hyun (Democratic Party of Korea, Beomeo 1-4 dong, Hwanggeum 1-2 dong) received the "New Ways Outstanding Legislative Activity Award" on the 28th of last month.

Consequently, Suseong District is recognized as having established a foundation for comprehensive support to help young people reintegrate into society and recover psychologically.
Rep. Jeong said, “It is the responsibility of the entire community to help isolated youth reconnect with society,” and added, “I will use this award as an opportunity to further refine our youth support policies.”
