박 선임기자는 10일 서울 대학로 이음센터 5층 이음아트홀에서 열린 국내 장애예술인들이 올 한 해 사업의 성과를 나누는 행사인 ‘2025 장애예술인 오픈데이쇼’에서 언론인으로서 장애 예술에 대한 깊은 관심으로 장애예술인 창작 활동과 저변을 확장하는 데 이바지한 공로로 감사패를 받았다.
한국장애예술인협회는 “박 선임기자는 세계일보 문화부장으로 재직하던 2014년 우리나라에서는 최초로 해외 장애인 예술 실태를 심층 취재한 기획 기사 연재를 시작으로, 지난 10여 년 동안 언론인으로서 장애예술인 장착 활동의 지평을 넓히는 데 역할이 매우 컸다.”라며 선정 배경을 밝혔다.
박 선임기자는 세계일보 문화부장과 사회2부장, 논설위원, 문화체육부장, 심의위원 등을 역임했다. 이날 행사에는 김승수 의원, 김예지 의원, 방귀희 한국장애인문화예술원 이사장, 한국장애인녹색재단 정원석 회장 등 각계 인사 200여 명이 참석했다.
