대구시교육청은 16일 오후 대구학생문화센터 대공연장에서 ‘2026 대구미래역량교육 설명회’를 개최했다.
현장에는 단설유치원장과 각급 학교 교장, 교육과정 담당 교사, 교육전문직과 일반직 등 1,300여 명이 참석했다.
이날 설명회에서 교육청은 2026년 대구교육의 방향과 주요 업무 계획, 역점 추진 과제를 제시했다. 그동안 대구시교육청은 수업과 평가 혁신을 중심으로 공교육 변화를 이끌어 왔으며, 올해 ‘대한민국 교육수도 대구’ 선포 10주년을 맞아 2026년을 ‘글로벌 교육수도 대구’로 도약하는 원년으로 잡았다.
2026년 대구교육은 학생들이 세계와 소통하며 함께 성장할 수 있는 역량 강화에 방점을 둔 것이 특징이다. 인공지능 기반 서술·논술·구술 평가 플랫폼을 구축해 학교 평가의 신뢰도와 객관성을 높이고, 국제 바칼로레아 프로그램과 대구미래학교의 실천 경험을 학교 현장에 확산해 배움 중심의 문화를 조성한다는 계획을 밝혔다.
또한 학생들의 마음 건강을 돌보는 정책도 한층 강화된다. 전국 최초로 도입한 마음교육의 내실을 다지고, 성장 단계에 맞춰 마음교육을 확대한다. 학생맞춤통합지원을 전면 시행해 정서·학습·복지 등 복합적인 어려움을 학교 내부에서 통합적으로 지원하는 체계를 마련한다는 방침이다.
아울러 인공지능 시대를 대비한 인간 역량 교육도 주요과제로 선정했다. 공감, 윤리, 창의성, 비판적 사고, 협업 등 인간 고유의 역량을 키우는 동시에, 교육과정을 연계한 실천 중심 환경교육을 통해 생태 감수성과 기후위기 대응 역량을 높인다는 구상이다.
강은희 대구시교육감은 “대구는 시민들이 가장 자부심을 느끼는 분야가 교육일 정도로 대한민국 교육을 선도해 왔다”며 “2026 대구미래역량교육을 통해 교육공동체와 함께 글로벌 교육수도로 나아갈 기반을 마련하겠다”고 말했다.

Daegu Metropolitan Superintendent of Education Kang Eun-hee said, “Daegu has been a leader in education in Korea to the extent that education is the area in which citizens take the greatest pride,” and added, “Through the 2026 Daegu Future Capacity Education, we will lay the foundation to advance as a global education capital together with the education community.”
