【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=새마을문고중앙회 음성군지부(회장 조근동)는 연말을 맞이해 지역 인재를 위해 뜻깊게 사용해 달라며 지난 15일 (재)음성군장학회(이사장 조병옥)에 장학금 50만원을 기탁했다.
음성군새마을회 소속의 새마을문고중앙회 음성군지부는 지난여름 음성읍 봉학골 산림욕장 자연학습관에서 ‘2025년 피서지문고’를 개소해 군민과 피서객을 대상으로 2000여 권의 도서를 무료로 열람·대출할 수 있는 독서 문화 행사를 운영했다.
특히 이번 기탁한 장학금은 지난 9월 ‘2025 음성명작페스티벌’에서 도서 교환 장터인 ‘알뜰도서 교환시장’을 운영하며 비치한 모금함을 통해 마련된 것으로, 행사에 참여한 군민과 방문객들의 따뜻한 정성이 담겨 있다.
새마을문고중앙회 음성군지부는 지역 인재 육성을 위해 모금액 전액을 군장학회에 기탁하기로 결정했다.

또한 음성농협 복숭아 공선출하회(회장 김정동)는 16일 음성군청을 방문해 인재 육성을 위해 (재)음성군장학회(이사장 조병옥)에 장학금 100만원을 기탁했다.
음성을 대표하는 ‘햇사레 복숭아’를 공동 선별·출하하고 있는 음성농협 복숭아 공선출하회는 해마다 철저한 품질 관리와 선별 기준 강화를 통해 우수한 복숭아 생산에 힘써왔다.
이번 장학금은 공선출하회 회원들의 인재 육성에 대한 뜻이 한데 모여 마련됐다.
