【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군은 올해 상반기 탄소중립 생활을 실천한 군민을 대상으로 탄소중립포인트 인센티브를 지급했다고 16일 밝혔다.
탄소중립포인트제는 온실가스 감축 실천을 위해 에너지 분야와 자동차 분야 감축 실적에 따라 인센티브를 부여하는 제도다.
군은 상반기 실적을 기준으로 에너지 분야에서 870세대에 총 1539만 원, 자동차 분야에서는 31명에게 총 204만 원의 인센티브를 지급했다.
에너지 분야의 경우 최근 2년간의 전기·상수도·도시가스 사용량과 현 사용량을 비교해 5% 이상 감축할 경우 포인트를 받는다.
포인트당 2원으로 환산해 현금 또는 그린카드로 지급되며 온실가스 감축율에 따라 전기 최대 3만 원, 상수도 최대 4000원을 받을 수 있다.
자동차 분야는 5월부터 10월까지 6개월간 기준 주행거리 감축률에 따라 최대 10만 원까지 받을 수 있다.
포인트제 가입 대상은 지역 내 모든 군민으로 탄소중립포인트(에너지, 자동차) 홈페이지 또는 증평군청 환경위생과를 방문해 가입할 수 있다.
군 관계자는 “탄소중립 생활 실천에 적극 동참해 준 군민 여러분께 감사드린다”며 “앞으로도 군민과 함께하는 온실가스 감축 정책을 통해 저탄소사회로의 전환을 차근차근 추진해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
