기독교복음선교회(JMS)는 12월17일치 보도자료를 통해 “기독교복음선교회가 연말을 맞아 사랑과 감사의 40일 작정 기도에 들어가며 2025년을 마무리하고 새해를 준비하는 행사를 진행한다. 이번 40일 기도는 11월 22일부터 12월 31일까지 이어지며, 한 해 동안 선교회와 교인들이 겪어온 여러 대내외적 어려움 속에서도 하나님의 인도하심에 대한 감사와 성찰의 의미를 담고 있다”고 소개하고 “교인들은 선교회의 사역이 하나님의 뜻 가운데 지속되기를 기도하는 한편, 정명석 목사의 건강과 안위를 위해 마음을 모으고 있다. 아울러 사회 전반의 회복과 국가의 평화를 위한 기도 시간도 함께 마련됐다.”고 전했다.
