[브레이크뉴스=박찬호 기자] 예술학도를 꿈꾸는 학생들의 열정이 캔버스를 넘어 지역사회의 따뜻한 온기로 피어났다. 창원예술학교(미술과) 학생들이 직접 제작한 예술 굿즈 판매 수익금으로 100만 원 상당의 기부 물품을 마련해 마산 '인애의 집'에 전달하며 ‘배움과 나눔의 선순환’을 실천했다.
이번 기부는 학생들이 예술가로서의 경제적 자립과 사회적 책임을 동시에 경험했다. 창원예술학교는 지난 1년간 미술과 교육과정을 통해 학생들이 제작한 작품들을 실생활에서 활용 가능한 '굿즈'로 재탄생시켰다.
머그컵, 에코백, 텀블러, 키링, 마그넷, 마우스패드, 엽서 등 8종 이상의 다채로운 품목 등, 학생들은 자신의 작품이 상품화되는 공정을 익히고, 이를 직접 팝업스토어에서 판매하며 예술 작품이 지닌 실질적인 경제적 가치를 몸소 체험했다.
행사에 참여한 학생 대표 최지호 학생은 “1년 동안 준비한 활동의 결과로 직접 인애의 집을 찾아 기부할 수 있어 큰 보람을 느낀다”며 “앞으로 디자이너라는 꿈을 이루어 많은 사람을 배려하는 제품을 만들고 싶다”고 소감을 전했다.
