브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 국민의힘 대선후보를 지낸 김문수 전 고용노동부 장관이 한동훈 전 대표를 두고 "국가적으로나 당으로 보나 보배 같은 인물"이라고 평가했다.
김 전 장관은 지난 17일 국민의힘 수도권 전·현직 당협위원장 모임인 "이오회"에 참석해 한 전 대표의 손을 잡고 "(당에서) 보배를 자른다고 한다. 이런 사람은 자르면 안 되지 않겠느냐"고 말했다.
이어 "이런 보배가 또 어디 있느냐. 다른 곳으로 나가면 인재로 영입해야 할 사람"이라며 "지금부터 내년 지방선거까지 계속 사람을 영입하고, 인재를 찾아 하나로 뭉쳐야만 이길 수 있다"고 강조했다.
김 전 장관의 발언은 최근 국민의힘 당무감사위원회가 친한(친한동훈)계를 대상으로 징계 절차를 진행 중인 상황을 겨냥한 것으로 풀이된다.
앞서 국민의힘 당무감사위는 지난 16일 막말 논란이 불거진 친한계 김종혁 전 최고위원에 대해 당원권 정지 2년의 중징계를 당 윤리위원회에 권고한 바 있다. 또한 한 전 대표 가족이 연루된 것으로 알려진 이른바 "당원 게시판" 사건과 관련한 조사도 진행 중이다.
한 전 대표는 이오회 모임 참석 후 자신의 소셜미디어에 김 전 장관과 손을 맞잡은 사진을 올리며 "김문수 선배님과 함께 우리 당의 미래와 화합을 이야기했다"고 밝혔다.
