대전의 원도심을 지켜온 보문산 보운대 자리에 시민들의 휴식처이자 새로운 관광 거점이 될 ‘보문산 큰나무 전망대’가 그 위용을 드러냈다.
대전시는 19일 보문산 현지에서 주요 내빈과 시민 등 100여 명이 참석한 가운데 준공식을 열고, 대전의 자연과 도심을 잇는 상징적 공간의 탄생을 축하했다.
보문산 큰나무 전망대는 단순한 전망탑을 넘어 친환경 건축의 집약체로 평가받는다. 높이 24m, 지하 1층~지상 2층 규모로 조성된 이 시설은 산림청 공모사업을 통해 확보한 국비 등 총 130억 원의 예산이 투입됐다.
