글로벌시낭송회, 한-라오스 시인 번역 시집 라오스 대사관에 증정하며 한국-라오스 재수교 30주년을 기념하는 문학의 꽃으로 피었다.
지난 12월 15일에 이재명 대통령과 라오스 통룬 주석의 정상 회담을 열어 “포괄적 동반자 관계로 격상을”했다. 이에 맞물려 이번 시집 발간은 양국 간의 문학적 교류를 심화하고 문화적 이해를 증진하는 중요한 이정표가 될 것으로 기대된다고 했다.
『2025 시의 향기』에 참여한 양국 시인 중에 한국 시인으로는 <강민숙, 김윤경, 백애송, 송용탁, 송인엽 오충, 임영숙, 장인무, 홍사성> 등 9명과 라오스 시인으로는 (Anongdeth SINGDALACK, Bounchan KEOMANYKA, Maiphone SIBOUAKHAM, MS Phone PHENGPHANYA, Somthapheuy SYVONGSAK, Sonesanith BOUNTAVONG, Singthong PHEUAPHOM, Sonsanith SUVATMOUNGKHOUN) 7명이 함께 참여한 번역 시집을 제작하여, 주한 라오스 대사관에 정식으로 증정했다고 밝혔다.
시집 증정에 참석한 오충, 강민숙은 라오스 통룬 주석이 대한민국을 방문하여 이재명 대통령과 정상 회담을 하는 동안 『2025 시의 향기』 전달하게 되어 더욱 뜻 깊다고 소감을 밝혔다.
시집은 한국 시인들은 '라오스'를 주제로, 라오스 시인들은 '한국'을 주제로 각각 작품을 출품하여 번역 과정을 거쳐 완성되었다. 지난 6개월간의 정교한 번역과 편집 작업을 통해 양국의 정서와 문학적 아름다움을 고스란히 담아낸 특별한 결실이다. 서로 다른 언어와 문화 속에서 피어난 시들이 하나의 책으로 엮여, 서로를 향한 존경과 이해를 깊이 있게 보여주고 있다.
특히 이번 시집의 표사문은 주한 라오스 대사는 직접 작성하여 더욱 의미를 더했다. 쏭깐 대사는 “이 시집을 발간에 대해 깊은 감사의 뜻을 표하면서, 양국 국민이 서로를 더 깊이 이해하고 사랑하기를 바란다며, 정상 회담과 맞물려 라오스 정부의 깊은 관심과 교류를 상징한다”고 말했다.
글로벌시낭송회 관계자는 "이번 번역 시집이 한국과 라오스 국민들에게 서로의 문학과 문화를 이해하고 사랑하는 계기가 되기를 바라며, 오충 시인은 시집이 라오스의 각 대학 도서관에 기증되도록 12월 22일 라오스 교육부 장관을 만나서 기증할 계획이라고" 밝히며, "앞으로도 지속적인 교류를 통해 양국의 우정을 더욱 돈독히 하는데 기여하겠다."고 밝혔다.
글로벌시낭송회는 이 시집을 통해 문학이 지닌 보편적인 가치와 국경을 초월하는 힘을 다시 한 번 입증하며, 한국과 라오스 간의 활발한 문화 교류 활동에 새로운 활력을 불어넣을 것으로 기대하고 있다.

The Global Poetry Recitation Festival celebrated the 30th anniversary of the reestablishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and Laos by presenting a collection of translated poems by Korean and Laotian poets to the Laotian Embassy, blossoming into a literary event.
On December 15th, President Lee Jae-myung and Laotian President Thongloun held a summit, which "elevated the relationship to a comprehensive partnership." Among the poets from both countries who participated in the "2025 Scent of Poetry," nine Korean poets (Kang Min-sook, Kim Yun-kyung, Baek Ae-song, Song Yong-tak, Song In-yeop, Oh Choong, Lim Yeong-sook, Jang In-moo, and Hong Sa-seong) and seven Laotian poets (Anongdeth Singdalack, Bounchan Keomanyka, Maiphone Sibouakhamm, MS Phone Phengphanya, Somthapheuy Syvongsak, Sonesanith Bountavon, Singthong Pheuaphom, and Sonsanith SUVatmoungkhoun) collaborated on a translated poetry collection, which was officially presented to the Lao Embassy in Korea.
Oh Choong and Kang Min-sook, who attended the book presentation, expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to present "2025 Scent of Poetry" during Laotian President Thongloun's visit to South Korea and his summit with President Lee Jae-myung.
The poetry collection was completed through translation, with Korean poets submitting works on the theme of "Laos" and Laotian poets submitting works on the theme of "Korea." This exceptional work, the result of six months of meticulous translation and editing, captures the sensibilities and literary beauty of both countries. Poems born in different languages and cultures are brought together in a single volume, deeply demonstrating mutual respect and understanding.
The inscription for this collection was personally written by the Laotian Ambassador to Korea, adding even more meaning. Ambassador Songkan stated, "I express my deepest gratitude for the publication of this poetry collection and hope that the peoples of our two countries will deepen their understanding and love for one another. It also symbolizes the Laotian government's profound interest and exchanges, especially in conjunction with the summit."
A representative of the Global Poetry Recitation Festival stated, "We hope this translated poetry collection will serve as an opportunity for the people of Korea and Laos to understand and appreciate each other's literature and culture. Poet Oh Chung plans to meet with the Lao Minister of Education on December 22nd to donate the poetry collection to university libraries in Laos." They added, "We will continue to contribute to strengthening the friendship between our two countries through continued exchanges."
Through this collection, the Global Poetry Recitation Festival hopes to once again demonstrate the universal value and transcending power of literature, and to inject new vitality into active cultural exchanges between Korea and Laos.
